Safety
Committed To Safety: On The Road
According to CAA and the Canadian Association of Road Safety Professionals, approximately 100 tow truck drivers are killed every year after being struck by oncoming traffic while helping stranded motorists with flat tires, breakdowns, and collisions.
When we’re attending to an emergency roadside situation, our top priority is getting you to safety. While you and your passengers are staying warm and safe inside our tow trucks, our crew members are doing repairs, making a quick patch, or getting your vehicle ready for towing. During this work, they are at risk of a roadside accident.
As motorists, please slow down and move over. Be aware of your surroundings, including other drivers and emergency vehicles.
We want to ensure you get home safely to the ones you love most, so please- do the same for our team.
Committed To Safety: In The Shop
Safety is a large part of Kitson’s shop culture. Co-owner Ken has been in the shop for over 15 years and knows the rules like the back of his wrench-holding hand.
Ken does not tolerate sloppy or inconsistent work, and has carefully selected a team of caring people that share his no-nonsense, get-it-done-right-the-first-time, measure twice cut once approach to automotive repair, maintenance, and emergency towing.
But hey, at heart, this is a team of softies. They want to make sure you feel welcome and heard at every appointment and meeting. Most of all, they love winding down with the shop’s Emotional Sup-purr-t Cat (ESC), Mittens.
